Oil base coats can contain multiple colours resembling an oily animal. Starlings, Ravens, and Boelen pythons are some of the best animal examples for oil base coats.
Oil bases appear to have an oily sheen but are not iridescent. The base is always black or near black with many gradients, soft streaks, or subtle splotches of grays and/or colours. Frosting on the oil may occur if desired. Markings on oil dragons will follow their respective rules and may have an oily sheen on them as well. Paired with Chromatic, Oil dragons can appear holographic. Here are some examples of how an oil base coat may appear. |
